Get rollin’: Discover the capital of Germany with skate-berlin (by Martin P.)

We are since 2002 a bunch of inline skating enthusiasts who regularly meet at the Winterfeldtplatz in Berlin’s Schöneberg district to go skating in the city - we call this “Stadtrollern”.

Routes are usually determined on short notice and usually range from 30 to 40 kilometers. As we stop at ice cream parlors, golf courses and other interesting spots, a typical tour will take from three to four hours — and as you’ll see in our gallery, we are having a lot of fun along the way.

In addition to these regular tours, we often go to the Fläming-Skate (a true Inline Skating Eldorado south of Berlin) or other vistas in and around the capital during weekends. But that’s not all: We also train for the Berlin Marathon, we have barbecues, we discuss current skating events and topics in our forum

So, to cut a long story short: We enjoy our hobby together, and we are always looking forward to Inline skaters from Berlin and visitors who would like to participate in our activities while they are in town. If you are an experienced skater of age 18 or over and you brake as good as you skate, you are welcome to join us. However, please note the following:

— If you participate in our activities, you do so at your own risk.
— Always respect the rights of all other road users.
— We recommend using a full set of protective gear (including knee, elbow and wrist protectors and a helmet). Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended.
— Please note that inline skating on public streets is in not allowed in Germany.
